Our Story
This one, however, began in a lowly first-year veterinary class at Oklahoma State University in the fall of 2008. When Moody (Dr. Park) and Morrical (Dr. Richter) were sat next to each other in class, no one had any idea what magic they would make one day!
After they both learned, studied, cried, laughed, studied, and then learned more, the pair of best friends graduated veterinary school in 2011! Dr. Kim Park decided to work in the small animal world (dogs and cats) and Dr. Grace Richter entered the large animal field (horses, cattle, farm animals). Both worked at various veterinary hospitals and both created their own businesses. They married their respective husbands, each had children. They worked hard. And learned so much.
Then one day, at a Chick-fil-A drive-through (where most exceptional ideas start), the fates aligned. Waterloo Animal Hospital was for sale. Close to both of their homes and as both were at a point where they wanted to really plant roots…their dream became real!
In February 2023, Dr. Kim Park and Dr. Grace Richter purchased the already established Waterloo Animal Hospital and started offering both small and large animal services for the growing community!
