Brittany
Registered Veterinary Technician
Brittany joined Waterloo in June 2023. Originally from Skiatook, OK, Brittany came to UCO to study criminal justice and outdoor recreation. During Covid, she discovered veterinary medicine and has not looked back! She graduated from OSU OKC in 2024 to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. Brittany and her husband have 2 cats: Fayre and Willow. Outside of work, Brittany loves to read, do puzzles, hike, and camp. She is looking forward to owning chickens!

Tiffany
Certified Veterinary Assistant
Tiffany was born in Bayreuth, Germany, and raised in Bethany. As a child, she loved walking around in the country and spending time with her pets. She and her husband Johnny live in Guthrie with their dogs, and she has a daughter named Christa. When not working, Tiffany enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Tiffany is known as our “Chihuahua whisperer,” and her favorite part of her job is gaining the trust of these little firecrackers! Her personal pets include Charlie, Sully, Kyle, StanLee, Rip, Alice, Abby, and Leffy!

Ashley
Veterinary Assistant

Micah
Veterinary Assistant
Micha joined the team at WAH in May 2024. She just moved back to Oklahoma after spending some time in New Mexico. Micha has worked in veterinary medicine for over 2 years and is very excited to be a part of our team. She is obsessed with her adorable French Bulldog named Fila. Outside of the clinic, she is looking forward to home ownership in the near future!

Pat
Receptionist
Pat has been part of the Waterloo family since 1996. She grew up in Iowa and moved to Oklahoma in 1981. She married the love of her life, and they now have 3 daughters, 8 grandkids, and 8 great-grandkids! She has 3 cats (Ted, Ziggy, and Tosha) and a Border Collie/Heeler mix named Mindy. Outside of work, Pat loves to spend time in the garden, weave, and sew. Her goal is to retire one fine day and kick back and relax!

Deb
Veterinary Assistant

Amanda
Groomer
Amanda was born in Oklahoma City, and raised in Bethany. When she was younger, she played the violin and loved going on weekend trips to Lake Texoma. Her favorite things were fishing and of course looking for wildlife while at the lake. She now has 2 children, lots of cats and dogs, a red footed tortoise and several other kinds of reptiles. Amanda still enjoys going on nature walks and sightseeing. She has a passion for grooming and has been doing this for 25 years. She enjoys learning the different personalities and communication patterns from the animals she grooms – they all “talk” in their own way!

Josie Gimple, DPT, ATP/SMS, MHA, CCRT
Founder of Pawsitive Steps Canine Rehab / Therapist
My name is Josie Gimple, and I am the founder of Pawsitive Steps Canine Rehab. I have been a Physical Therapist for 15 years. In April 2022, my life took an unexpected turn when my beloved 16-year-old Miniature Schnauzer, Meena, began to experience seizures. While medication was used to help control the seizures, she began exhibiting some neurological deficits and weakness. I have always been neuro-focused in my physical therapy practice, so I began implementing some of my human-based PT knowledge and techniques. Over the course of several months, her balance, mobility, and strength all improved. I began to wonder if there was such a thing as canine physical therapy. I soon found the Canine Rehabilitation Institute and enrolled in their program to become a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist (CCRT). Just as I was beginning the program, Meena’s health issues compounded, and 10 months after her seizures began, she crossed over the rainbow bridge. Meena was my first patient and will always be the inspiration and driving force to provide the best possible care to my canine patients.
Josie sees patients at Waterloo Animal Hospital every Thursday by appointment! Call our office to schedule an appointment or you can reach out to Josie at 405-367-5732.

Doc
Quality Control Officer
Doc, born in 2016, was inherited from the previous Waterloo owners but is a welcome addition to our team. His job is quality control. That means he has a tendency to open all kinds of pet food bags (dog or cat) to sample them to make sure they are good. Because of this, he does get placed in cat jail often.

Woods
Comic Relief / Mental Health Advocate
Woods, born in November 2022, joined the staff in December 2023. He is super funny, cuddly, mischievous, and has a favorite pastime of getting into tussles with Doc and Rosebud. He can be seen all over the hospital snuggling with staff members, kicking people out of their chairs, and generally being in the way.

Rosebud
Pest Control
Rosebud, born in November 2022, is a part-time staff member at WAH and part-time barn help at Dr. Parks’ home. She can be seen chasing bugs around the hospital, walking over keyboards at the reception counter, or visiting squirrels in the back of the hospital. She works hard, plays hard, and sleeps anywhere.
